On 1 July 2000, a Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced to Australia. This tax is very similar to Sales Tax and Value Added Tax (VAT) which is common in many other countries.

Because this tax replaced several hidden taxes including Wholesale Sales Tax, some products are now cheaper than before. There was previously no Wholesale Sales Tax on clothing so all our products shipped within Australia are now subject to 10% GST.
